The Saint Joseph High School Rowing program, organized by Falcon Rowing, Inc., is formed to support, train and develop rowers from Middlesex Country, New Jersey for competition in amateur rowing.
Coach Langowski is a 2003 graduate from Saint Joseph High School and he began his competitive rowing career as a Manhattan College Jasper. Coach Tom is a MAAC Conference champion in the 2- event and has competed in numerous events throughout the New England and mid-Atlantic region, is a licensed US Rowing Referee and holds a US Rowing Level II coaching certificate.

Tom Langowski founded the Falcon Rowing program in 2010 after his collegiate rowing career as a Manhattan College oarsman.
Mr. Langowski oversees the day-to-day operation of the program as well as executes long-term growth strategies for the club.
Mr. Langowski has served as a trustee for Falcon Rowing since its inception in 2010
Eric Backlund began his rowing career at Lafayette College and served as President of the team his senior year. While completing his master’s in civil engineering at Virginia Tech (2007-2008) Eric coached the varsity men’s team. He has competed in several alumni events since graduating at the Head of the Charles and Head of the Schuylkill.
Mr. Backlund has served as a trustee for Falcon Rowing since its inception in 2010
Nicholas LaCava is a 2003 graduate of Saint Joseph High School where he was an All-American swimmer. Mr. LaCava attended Rutgers University - New Brunswick where he earned his degree in Pharmacy.
Coach Nick competes in triathlons and Ironman competitions.
Coach Nick and Mrs. Coach Christine live in East Brunswick with their dog Tux.

Lieutenant Kyle Rivera ’13 began his rowing career on the Saint Joseph High School rowing team, with his MV4x making the finals at the 2013 Stotesbury Cup Regatta, and continued to row as a cadet in the United States Coast Guard Academy. After graduating and receiving his commission as an ensign Rivera was deployed to Sector Key West, FL as a deck-officer on USCGC Mohawk (WMEC-913) and fulfils the mission of the Coast Guard in the Caribbean including Search & Rescue, Maritime Law Enforcement, and Alien Migrant Interdiction Operations. Rivera was recently promoted to Luetenant JG and will be re-deployed to Sector San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Kyle continues to be involved with the rowing program and has been a Falcon Rowing Board member since 2017 serving as our Endowment Steward. Kyle and wife Erin, as well as their dogs Dusty and Charlie, live in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
