The Saint Joseph High School Rowing program is organized by Falcon Rowing, Inc. which is formed to support, train and develop amateur rowers from Middlesex Country, New Jersey for competition in amateur rowing.
Coach Langowski is a 2003 graduate from Saint Joseph High School and he began his competitive rowing career as a Manhattan College Jasper. Coach Tom is a MAAC Conference champion in the 2- event and has competed in numerous events throughout the New England and mid-Atlantic region.
Coach Tom is a licensed US Rowing Referee and holds a US Rowing Level II coaching certificate.

Coach Reid began sculling at Montclair HS in 2008 and sculled through his graduation in 2012, joining Nereid Boat Club during summers and after high school. He eventually joined the University of Delaware's lightweight program where, in addition to attempting to learn how to sweep, he was allowed to continue sculling in competition. He also sculled for Undine Barge Club in Philadelphia with whom he won seats on the under-23 National Team.
Coach Hedin is a parent volunteer with Falcon Rowing since 2016 and holds is a US Rowing Level II certified rowing coach. Coach Chris rowed as an undergraduate at Drexel University. Coach Chris has 10+ years youth leadership experience including Scouting leadership and Coaching youth baseball and soccer.
Coach Daniel is a 2015 graduate of Saint Joseph HS where he was a four-year rower as well as the team captain during the 2014-15 season. Daniel is an oarsman for Rutgers University where he is enrolled in the pre-med program.
Coach Nick rowed as an undergraduate for Loyola University Maryland where he stroked the V8 and the HWT 4+ to its best finish at the Dad Vail Regatta in over a decade. Decorated numerous times in the varsity 2-. Trautwein graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 2015 and is currently enrolled in the Masters of Accountancy program at Loyola.
Tom Langowski founded the Falcon Rowing program in 2010 after his collegiate rowing career as a Manhattan College oarsman.
Mr. Langowski oversees the day-to-day operation of the program as well as executes long-term growth strategies for the club.

Eric Backlund began his rowing career at Lafayette College and served as President of the team his senior year. While completing his master’s in civil engineering at Virginia Tech (2007-2008) Eric coached the varsity men’s team. He has competed in several alumni events since graduating at the Head of the Charles and Head of the Schuylkill.
Mr. Backlund has served as a trustee for Falcon Rowing since its inception in 2010
Nicholas LaCava is a 2003 graduate of Saint Joseph High School where he was an All-American swimmer. Mr. LaCava attended Rutgers University - New Brunswick where he earned his degree in Pharmacy.

Lieutenant Kyle Rivera '13 began his rowing career on the Saint Joseph High School rowing team, and continued to row as a cadet in the United States Coast Guard Academy. Currently Kyle is deployed to Sector Key West, FL. Kyle has been our Endowment Steward since 2017.
