Coach  Mike is a longtime athlete, physio and coach. Initially a football/wrestling/lacrosse athlete having success in each, he transitioned to rugby football in 1994 at the University of Connecticut, playing four years and helping the team achieve a top 16 national ranking his senior year while completing studies within the physical therapy program. After college Mike helped start a PT and performance practice (Pro-Activity) where he is a Senior Partner, returned to coaching (wrestling and rugby), continued to play competitive rugby (currently with the Connecticut Grey) and took up endurance sports, training-for and completing a variety of events ranging from ultramarathon to "Ironman Distance" triathlon (140.6 miles) while chasing, coaching and cheering on 3 active kids with his wife Lindsay.

Coach Mike combines his professional knowledge of physiology and training approaches with his personal experience as both athlete and Dad to create a challenging environment which emphasizes development, positivity and ultimately fun in hopes that every athlete, regardless of initial skill gets the full benefit of competitive athletics.
