The Saint Joseph High School Rowing program, organized by Falcon Rowing, Inc., is formed to support, train and develop amateur rowers from Middlesex Country, New Jersey for competition in amateur rowing.
Coach Langowski is a 2003 graduate from Saint Joseph High School and he began his competitive rowing career as a Manhattan College Jasper. Coach Tom is a MAAC Conference champion in the 2- event and has competed in numerous events throughout the New England and mid-Atlantic region.
Coach Tom is a licensed US Rowing Referee and holds a US Rowing Level II coaching certificate.

Coach Ambrico is a 2015 graduate from Saint Joseph High School where he was a four-year oarsman on the crew. Coach Ambrico is a multiple state champion in the 1x and Lwt 2x events.
Coach Sachs has competed in sports her entire life and always seek new activities to challenge my body and mind. I joined the Johnson & Johnson Rowing Club in 2014 and was instantly hooked by the sense of comradery, teamwork and physical demand of rowing. I have trained with the Rutgers Women’s Rowing Team (Div I), Rutgers Men’s Rowing Club and Caspersen Rowing Center. Since 2015 I have competed in the Dad Vail, Navy Day, Quaker City, Caspersen/Princeton National Summer and Head of the Charles regattas in the Master Mixed 8+
Coach Wardell is a triathlete by nature. In 2014 I injured my hip running and needed a new training method. I learned to row in the fall of 2014 through the Johnson & Johnson rowing club hoping it could be a potential avenue to stay on top of my fitness. That spring (2015), I started rowing competitively with the club in a Master Mixed 8. Since the spring of 2016 I have Captain the JNJ Corporate boat out of Rutgers Boathouse.

Dad Vail, Navy Day, Quaker City Masters, and Head of the Charles regattas.
Tom Langowski founded the Falcon Rowing program in 2010 after his collegiate rowing career as a Manhattan College oarsman.
Mr. Langowski oversees the day-to-day operation of the program as well as executes long-term growth strategies for the club.

Eric Backlund began his rowing career at Lafayette College and served as President of the team his senior year. While completing his master’s in civil engineering at Virginia Tech (2007-2008) Eric coached the varsity men’s team. He has competed in several alumni events since graduating at the Head of the Charles and Head of the Schuylkill.
Mr. Backlund has served as a trustee for Falcon Rowing since its inception in 2010
Nicholas LaCava is a 2003 graduate of Saint Joseph High School where he was an All-American swimmer. Mr. LaCava attended Rutgers University - New Brunswick where he earned his degree in Pharmacy.

Lieutenant Kyle Rivera '13 began his rowing career on the Saint Joseph High School rowing team, and continued to row as a cadet in the United States Coast Guard Academy. Currently Kyle is deployed to Sector Key West, FL. Kyle has been our Endowment Steward since 2017.
